Baseball Beginners Camp (ages 5-6) Fun skill development includes hitting, base running, fielding, throwing and catching. Group interaction, cooperation and team play emphasized. Games held each day along with enjoyable, well-structured learning experiences for beginner skill levels. The curriculum is designed for “max touch”, providing plenty of repetitions. T-ball and coach-pitch scrimmage games are held each day. The camp offers an excellent baseball experience._Players should bring water bottle, snack, batting helmet, glove, and bat. Ages: 5-6 y/o. Overall Baseball Skills & Game Camp (ages 7-12): This popular camp, held in Arlington since 1992, is ideal for players who love America’s favorite pastime. The seasoned staff of high school coaches and certified public school educators provides an enjoyable, well-structured learning experience for all skill levels. The curriculum is designed for “max touch”, providing plenty of repetitions. Coach-pitch scrimmage games are held each day. The camp offers an excellent baseball environment with multiple fields. Indoor airconditioned accommodations are available in case of excessive heat. Players should bring glove, bat, batting helmet, water bottle, and lunch. Ages: 7-12. Boys and Girls – Players grouped by age and skill level. Days and Times: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-1 pm Indoor air-conditioned accommodations are available in case of excessive heat. Advanced Skills Baseball Camps (ages 10-14) The Advanced skills camps are designed for the highly motivated players who want to focus on improving specific skills. Players are grouped by age. Individual attention is provided to each player. The camps are staffed by experienced high school coaches and college players. Each camp is 4 days. The ratio is 6:1 or less. Infielder/Hitting Camp. Infielders work on progression fielding, throwing, double plays, tag plays, relays, and more. Half the camp time is dedicated to hitting practice and controlled scrimmage games. Location: Arlington Barcroft Park/Tucker Field Dates and times: 8:30 am-10:30 am. June 23-26, July 7-10. DPR Activity#: 543020 Pitcher-Catcher Camp. Pitchers receive instruction on proper grips, pitch mechanics, holding runners (50’/70′ and 90-foot diamond players), and fielding the position. Catchers work on receiving techniques, blocking, throwing to bases, pop ups, tags, and fielding bunts. pitchers should bring glove and water bottle. Catchers need to bring their own catching gear. Baseball Advanced Game Camp (ages 12-15) This camp is a fast-moving game camp designed to get players up to 40 at-bats in the four-day session. Players are divided into teams and face live coach-pitch on the 90-foot diamond. Players play positions in the field and get plenty of game-speed opportunities to make plays and run the bases. Stats are kept during the week and awards are given to the most valuable player and hitting champion. High School coaches and college players instruct. Players should bring bat, glove, batting helmet, water bottle. Catchers should bring their own gear. Camps are only held Monday thru Thursday.
